The Best Parks in Surrey

Get outside and take advantage of the beauty that Surrey has to offer. This Vancouver suburb is home to some of the most beautiful parks in the Metro Vancouver Area. From the dog-friendly Blackie Spit to the wildlife refuge known as Surrey Bend Regional Park, check out this list of our favourite parks in Surrey.

Blackie Spit

Blackie Spit is a beachfront park on Boundary Bay. Here, you’ll find a 5 kilometre nature trail, an off-leash dog area if you have your pup with you, and plenty of incredible flora and fauna, including an impressive array of birds. There is a boardwalk that extends out over the ocean, and it’s also a great place to go for a swim or relax on the shore and enjoy panoramic views of the water.

Surrey Bend Regional Park

Surrey Bend Regional Park is an ecological park on the Fraser River. Specifically, the park comprises 860 acres of wetlands and wildlife. Most of the park is made up of floodplain, which has led to a diverse range of fish, birds, and other animals that call this refuge home. Within the park, you will find picnic tables, hiking and cycling trails, and several scenic viewpoints.

Tynehead Regional Park

Not far from Surrey Bend Regional Park lies yet another of our favourite Surrey parks. This one is known as Tynehead Regional Park, and it is also an ecological reserve. Despite being in such close proximity to the city, a walk through this park will make you feel like you’re lost in nature. The park has several trails that wind through picturesque meadows and towering forests along the Serpentine River. There are also plenty of great lookout spots, as well as paved trails perfect for walking, jogging, or cycling. Whatever you do, be sure to take a walk down the Hatchery and or Trillium Trials and keep your eyes peeled for the salmon habitat viewpoints.

If you plan on exploring the outdoors in Surrey, then you’ll want to book a room at the Ramada Langley Surrey. Just a short distance from some of the best parks in the city, we combine top-notch service and luxe amenities with an unbeatable location.
